When my kids were younger the Christmas season was a time of wonder, shining eyes and a little more time for life than usual. We would listen to Christmas songs and watch Christmas movies bundled up on the couch with hot chocolate after they went sledding with Dad. To be honest, their aunt had to come and bake cookies with them because I dreaded the mess, but we all enjoyed driving through the different neighborhoods and enjoying how people had decorated their homes and lawns. Today most of my kids are grown up but we still enjoy the beautiful Christmas Light displays. Here are some of the places we saw or heard of. If you know of another place, please let me know and I’ll add it to this! Grab a cup of hot cocoa and plan a little sightseeing trip for you and your loved ones.

We were informed by our neighbors that we cannot use their yard as we have the past two years so our “Santa Scene” has been moved back to our driveway. We do not have room for all the decorations we had in their yard so we did downsize somewhat because of it. We did add mega tree with big bulbs on it. We also added two arrangements of a song called Christmas Hallelujah. One is by a group called Cloverton who wrote the lyrics. The other is sung by ten year old Kaylee Rogers who has autism and ADHD. She is singing with her school choir in Ireland.
We have chosen to pause the Computer Animated Light Show during both of these songs to bring more focus on the manger scene. Videos of both arrangements can be seen on YouTube if you are interested.
